I cannot tell from the photos...

Is the Honor Guard badge a separate bullion insignia that has been sewn to the peak of the cap?

Or is is embroidered directly on to the cap cloth?

Will,

It is embroided directly onto the peak of the cap. Only the coat of Arms is an additional metal piece. Here is an enlargement of it.

it is good to reform before 1971 and I have no doubt about that hat is super factory
but I seek more information on the structures of the guards of honor who commanded them and how their functioning hierarchy

Not necessarily worn by generals....
Here is one (with metal crown insignia) worn by a captain,group of soviet forces in Germany.

Does anyone know: Did only officers wear the Honor Guard breast badge?
It appears from this photo that the regular enlisted men are not wearing it.

Yes only officers wore the Honor Guard breast badge.....

May it be that the practice we see on the picture a captain wearing a general grade cap be applied to Kremlin KGB guard too?

Due so explaining all the KGB general caps in collections.
