Let's avoid politics, but I don't think capitalism, "wild" or not is all about the desecration of history. At their root, capitalism, fascism, or communism are political-economic systems for managing a country. Capitalism may be bad, but compared to its competitors I think it's pretty clear what humans across the globe have chosen, whether rationally or via revolution.
This example of historical desecration is caused by greed, which exists in all mankind regardless of political-economic construct. For our virtuous defenders of communism, I can point out plenty of destroyed churches, entire peoples destroyed and starved to death because they happened to be from an imaginary "class", and at the more mild end of the spectrum, individuals' existences blotted out of photographs. All of this "historical desecration" was done in the name of communism, whether you classify it as the "wild" or "normal" variety. |
