Re: Excellent emploee of the National Education of the Ukrainian SSR
I recommend going to see in C......ru...., where you can see the variations, Type 1, 1944-46, Type 2, 1946-50 and Type 3 (pin back),1950-60. This example is from it.
Badge for Excellence in Peoples Education of Ukraine, Type 2, 1946-early 1950s. Silver-plated brass, enamels; 39.9 x 31.9 mm, massive construction. The first post-war variation, featuring silver-plated scrolls and grey background enamel of the shield. |

Re: Badge "Excellent People's Education".
These badges are fairly common. They seem to have never been numbered. The docs bear a number never seen on any badge, so it would be only a certificate number.

Re: Badge "Excellent People's Education".
Awarded to Maj Grigorivna Zavidnij on 16th January 1986. Going by the Document number, I wouldn't be surprised if 150,000 were awarded in total.

Re: Badge "Excellent People's Education".
Interesting hypothesis! By the way, 150 000 seems a small number for the whole Soviet Union history...

Re: Badge "Excellent People's Education".
Maybe not for the UkSSR. It also has to be taken into consideration that early on State Medals and Orders were awarded for long/good service. So 1956 to 1991, 35 years, 150,000 awards to good teachers, not out of the realms of reality.
