Stalin's white uniform

Is it me or are the medal ribbons reversed on that uniform or is it the negative of the photo has been reversed?

not really reversed....the photo is ok.

i also collected original photos of generals from 1940-1945 when i collected uniforms. I would sometimes find photos of generals wearing the medals with the ribbons reversed like this. i was not sure why, until i was talking with russians in moscow. their opinion, which i agree with, was that the reverse ribboning was the style of the europeans ( and, the germans whom they could not admit they admired) wore. so, I decided to have one of my generals VPs medaled like this.

Here is the white version of the M1954 generals uniform. Notice it has blue trousers; deep blue like M1943, not parade Tsars blue.

I have not seen another of these in a long time; wish they kept using them.
