In order to properly follow forum etiquette and remain within it's boundaries, I'll state the following opinions:

Star-cockarde: Model of 1964

Chinstrap: Thin oilcloth type found on many, if not most reproductions offered as originalfor sale in the earlier part of this century on eeebay.

The stamp: atypical forgery in conjunction with the latter.

BTW, the DUST: IMO of course, it is present due to a lame (IMO again) artificial aging process where a reproduction cap is soaked - marinated so to speak - in a solution of grease, water, and dirt, in order to simulate sixty year old field use and bad storage...

I agree with Richie, I've seen that stamp on so many fakes and reproductions...I even own one! :P
