Thanks, Alexei
So in this case, I guess Russian have found the origional mould for sukebattar Order. now they use the mould to make the orders illegally, maybe the grade of silver or gold is different than origional ones, which cause the lighter weight. BTW, what is weight of authentic one? I have got a scan of sukebattar order from a chinese forum, it looks in excellent condition, mint. is it suspicious?

I just got in what I believe to be a fake Order of the Red Banner of Military Valor (type 3.1, the nasty bronze pinback variety). FYI.
Send a PM and I can direct you to images and discussion. |

Re: any fake Mongolian stuff yet??
Fake Red Banner of Military Valor, type 3. Fake, not just pitifully low quality.

Can you please detail what specifically makes this a fake.

Re: any fake Mongolian stuff yet??
Yes, is it really a fake, or one of those new brass pieces?
I was recently offered a fake Virgin Lands medal - decent quality, but ugly suspension ring. Alexei |

Re: any fake Mongolian stuff yet??
Yes, there are some Virgin Lands fakes about, best seen in the enamel/paint. However, they have started being issued again in a a new wave of legitimate issues, so . . . ?
The quality of the enamel, especially the rays under the white enamel, on that RBMV is so far away from the normal brass issues (ugly as they are) that they stand out. They are, I am told, being turned out in Ulanbaatar, unlike other fakes that come from the south and the north. |
