Bryan,
I don't think there are different Classes of this Award, only one. So my guess is that the screwback should be a Type/Variation I and the pinback a Type/Variation II. (Ron, Rusty, William... am I wrong? Any hints? Thanks) Replying to your other question, well, just a few pieces that I find nice, attractive and financially very competitive if compared with the Soviet or Mongolian Awards, for which btw (apart a few rarer, expensive and hard to find pieces) I guess I have most pieces I can afford  So yes, I guess I'm moving again... If you add to that my growing interest in non communist old Portuguese Orders... I wish I win the lottery soon :p Dolf Last edited by Dolf; 12-06-2005 at 05:28 PM. |

Well I really don't know if there is only one class or two. I do collect yugoslavian orders and know so few about them. Which I had a good collector guide.
I tought there was 2 classes. One in siver finished and the second in a gold finished. Maybe that's only the gold color that is now gone. -------------------------- Picture added for Dolf.

Bryan,
There's one class only, the older one lost the gold gilded finish. William Quote:

Very nice badges! I never realized that there were two classes of these. Here is the one in my collection. It appears to have a faint trace of gold finish.
I understand that there is another earlier design before this type was used. Dolf, thanks for posting a picture of a pin back version. I never knew that these were also found with a pin back. Last edited by CtahhR; 03-19-2013 at 09:23 AM. |

Seems they are now flooding the market this week. I don't know if it's genuine although.

Roy,
There are two variations of this type not 2 classes. Rusty.

These two you posted are both screwback? Or both pinbacks? Or one screwback and one pinback? A pic of the reverses would be nice ;) Cheers, Dolf |

Both are not mine. I do not have one yet. The one with green backgroud is a screwback version. The other one I do not know.
