Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
As a mortar crew leader, Sergeant Pushkin displayed exceptional bravery and courage while repelling an enemy counterattack north of the village of Albina (Bendery Region, Moldovan SSR) on 26.08.1944. The enemy delivered heavy artillery, mortar, and machinegun fire and boldly advanced. The enemy fire complicated the actions of our infantry while repelling the enemy counterattack. Personally firing his mortar, Comrade Pushkin killed as many as 45 Hitlerites and destroyed two enemy heavy machineguns and two mortars. When enabled, the Soviet infantry successfully repelled the enemy counterattack.
He is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.
