I never looked at the back of the 10 year service medal on this brave internationalist female warrior (with the funky documents). Guess what?

That matches what is that second stamp inside the book says (unless it is bogus). Her rank of "Senior Warrant Officer" would indicates uniformed troops, of which the КГБ had a ton, so that also makes sense. What is on the outside of the booklet? If it doesn't say "Armed Forces", that would also match a bit more.

This set would be easy to compile. There are still lots of blank documents of these types floating around, although admittedly a blank BM would be much harder to find.

A KGB female, warrant officer Internationalist Medal & Bravery Medal recipient, although not impossible to fathom, is highly unusual and the kind of territory forgers like to tread in to attract our attention.

Finally, the BM doc alone could be good and the other two docs thrown in to sex up the "set".

I too, am leaning towards being skeptic on this one.

The only real way to figure this out would be to research the name and see what comes of it - but the KGB roots could guarantee you a dead end. You could possibly have an interesting and unique story here.

That is the type for the MVD, not for KGB.

My McDaniel shows this reverse for KGB 58-60 & 68-91 (page 357). and that the MVD for the same time period actually say "MVD CCCP" on bottom edge (page 360).

Have a look at an updated reference such as Mondvor. McD is over 10 years old, and a lot of water have flowed under the bridges.

This type is for the internal forces of the MVD and classified as T2. While on the site, have a look at page 4, there is a KGB document shown, and you'll see that there were no additional stamps.

It appears on the Mondvor site that the reverse of both MVD internal troops and KGB were the same at that time. Am I reading it right that the difference is that the KGB actually had roman numerals on the front corresponding to the years of service?

Not quite. Have a look at the position of the star on the reverse, they are different.

I can't get this Bravery Medal document out of my head. I've been racking my brains trying to remember ever seeing a post 1960-era Bravery Medal document ever stamped "FOR BRAVERY" instead of written in ink.

Is it just me or can someone produce an image or recollection of such a "FOR BRAVERY" stamp as this one here?
