Fake KGB and "Egg" Badges

From the photos it looks real, but I'm wondering why I can only see the impressions of the text for the "Honored Employee" badge on one side (they were often converted to 50th anniversary badges). See the sticky on KGB anniversary badges for more details.:)

First question: yes, it happens
Second question: a fraction of a few percentage points, probably
KGB: Lim(originals on ebay) ~ 0 (sorry for those not on friendly terms with maths) ;)

For the most part, I agree with Marc. However, be it desperation in increasingly unpleasant economic circumstances or simply the rarity of an honest seller, but I have seen at least two authentic KGB 50th and 70th anniversary badges (owners of a 60th know better than to sell) that are both real and considerably fairly priced. In fact, if I didn't think of greed as such an aweful [spelling intended] thing considering the limited number of these badges that more folks looking for the real thing at a fair price had a chance - then I'd be buying rather than admiring.

Granted, I'm talking about two sellers that come to mind, but it's a start...:thumbsup

OK; so this group came to me today. I bought it from a russian woman who said it was her fathers awards. He had been in riding-police during the war and after the war he eventually became the boss of a factory or mill.

That is of course no guarantee for authenticity, so let's have a look at the most interesting piece of this group; a MOOP "egg".

Serial number 7601. The handle of sword is broken.

For the viewing pleasure, I added a photo of the complete group.
The long service awards say MVD on the back.
