Christophe,
I should have added that the sellers address is in Berlin, thats what made me wonder if it,s maybe the same guy. The variation 7 could fit with the award Date 1991, if it,s OK then it must be one of the last issued. Eddie

Ron,
My most sincere congratulations! What a marvellous piece! And a nice price too, for such a beautiful piece in such mint condition! As most fellow members probably know, that NJ based dealer has one rated 9 of 10 by Paul McDaniel for sale, for $1.490.00... Best, Dolf |

Well, here is one that I wanted for a long time, but only got this year. And to boot, it is the rare deep back variation :D

Re: Ebay Order of Personal Courage Real or Fake?
And here is what an original deep-dished OPC looks like. By the way, these are extreme rare, so far being known only in the 62xx SN range :thumbsup

Sorry for the long delay between post of the numbers and the pics. Here's the order for personal courage, I'll post the rest tomorrow, but now it's time for bed.

Here is my Order for personal courage. Bought it in Kutaisi in Georgia from the Doctor to whom it was awarded. Paid around 200 in 1993. He was awarded this for treating earth quake victims, on site before they could be pulled out of the rubble. He was sad to see it go, but they needed the money. In 1993 things were pretty bad in Georgia I have the order book, but cant seem to get a scan down to 50kb. Any suggestions

I have bought this Order for Personal Courage SN 2215, in Berlin, in 2000. Bought to a reputable dealer, I have no concern (a priori, and except if any other evidence from the Forum members) about its authenticity.
Moreover, a careful checking shows that all details seem correct as well as the enamel colour. What I am wondering about is the following point : I initially planned to buy an Order for Personal Courage with its associated document. What I have been proposed is this Order SN 2215, with its box and an un-issued booklet. I took the opportunity to buy this not so usually available award. The box as well as the Order show some wear / use. The booklet is totally new. Logically, it looks like an un-issued order, one of the 8000 orders made. But, could it be an issued one, separated from its associated and issued booklet ? Has anyone any idea on this point, with regard to its SN ? Has a close SN already be found as an issued - with certainty - award ? All comments are welcome. In advance, many thanks. Ch. # 931262 Unissued. |
