Another interesting one (no close up of patch,sorry) for Border Troops,this time for Signals.

So, from his badges we can see he was a "1st rate" proficient soldier, an "excellent border guard" (2nd class), graduated from a civilian technical school (probably) before joining or being drafted and was a VLKSM member. Rather interesting (young) fellow.:thumbsup Very nice uniform.

I saw this uni and have been tempted to bid on the ebay auction. Yall think it a wise move?

Doug seems to like it (though I would not presume to speak for him) and I think it would make a great looking mannequin display for someone with the space. I also don't know what the seller wants for it and I don't know if the shoulder patch is regular issue or a dembel with its red "border."

But hey, if you like it and it is in your price range, and Doug comes back with a :thumbsup as authentic, then go for it.:D

Haha, thanks Phillip ;) Yeah, the patch does appear to be "dembelized" but my intention would be to just display it as-is down the road on a mannequin, along with two other uniforms I have with dembel patches.

While EM sets are not my field of collecting, I still like it :thumbsup it would make a terrific display if combined with shirt, tie, trousers and a visor cap!
