Paul,
Welcome to the forum! I believe it's a 1955 variation with repair. Alexei |

Veteran's Paratrooper Badge
Can anyone help with this abbreviation - OOOMA? I'm sure one of the "O"s is probably "otryad" or detachment. Another "O" could be "otdelnii". Any clues on the other "O", "M", or "A".
The KBF is "Red Banner Baltic Fleet". Interestingly the first try remains on the reverse. |

Para Airborne badge inscription
I just picked up a 30's vintage airborne badge and found an inscription on the reverse. It doesn't look all cyrillic so I'm thinking latvian, mongolian or some other republic. (I'm not even sure if I have this oriented in the right direction.) Ideas anyone?

Re: Para Airborne badge inscription
If you flipped it over, could it be a number? 26070

Re: Para Airborne badge inscription
Maybe. That would make pretty squirrely zeros, though. What would such a number be? Zip code? Party membership number?
Maybe it's like the Beatle's White Album and I'm supposed to play it backwards. |
