How to Display Soviet posters

I picked these up in 2000 from the archives of the State Political Science Museum in Moscow; they were so low on funds that they were actually selling some of the reserve collection. I picked up two orignal civil war posters in amazing condition. I got them home without damage and had them framed by an archaivist (sp?).

Art, if you want to preserve the patriotic jingo-rhyme, meaning's not lost with : "A sniper shoots from far away, every shot there's hell to pay.

Soviet-Era Recruiting/Propaganda Poster

This interesting original Soviet-era recruiting/propaganda poster depicting Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR, Honored Test Pilot of the USSR, Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General of Aviation Georgi Timofeyevich Beregovoi (1921-1995) recently appeared on eBay. Size: 17 x 21.5 inches. Sold for $9.99 + $4.75 S/H - a pretty good deal if you ask me! :thumbsup

Re: Soviet-Era Recruiting/Propaganda Poster

Another poster along the same lines, but with a Three Time Hero of the Soviet Union general of aviation. Same size and price as the above poster, but this one didn't sell. Any ideas who this individual is? :)

This is a beautiful poster I bought back in the early 1990's. It's big, approximately 4' x 4' ( sorry metric folks, I'm still stuck on avoirdupois ) consists of 2 sections. Sorry for poor quality of pictures. They are from a digital camera were overcompressed. Original poster is nice and crisp.

When I originally bought I thought, cool...I'm going to frame it and put it on my wall. Then someone told me the colors will eventually fade if I keep it exposed to light. Now it sits rolled up in a cardboard shipping tube in the dark :(
