Steven,
The Fire badge is OK, but I am not sure about the Torpedo. Can you post more detailed scans, especially of the back? Alexei |

Steven,
You don't have to post them one by one. I believe the Torpedo badge is a copy. Alexei Last edited by Nota Bene; 11-19-2006 at 08:48 PM. |

The torpedo badge is identical to my fake submariner badge.
Sorry Mark :( |

Vikingraider1,
I think all four are fakes, but I would like to the backs if possible. Alexei |

Fakes?
Viking raider
I would have said that these were ok but I have seen some fakes recently that where great looking.....in fact to good.....perfect. They were also all the high end badges that are hard to get..... I reckon they are good fakes....don't like the dark paterna and lack of wear.....all mine are battered. Chris |

Yes, that is what did it for me, the dark patina. It looks too contrived. Also the lettering and enamelling seems to have been sloppily applied around the branch of arm insignia.

Gentlemen,
I'd appreciate your assessments regarding the authenticity of this badge. Thanks in advance, K3R VMF USA |

First impression is that it is genuine. There is no dark patina which seems to be present on the current run of fakes coming out of Russia at the moment. The patina looks quite genuine on the reverse. The screw post looks ok as does the plate. I personally would give that the thumbs up. If anyone can state otherwise please educate me! :)
