Very, very strange... All his feedbacks are from people with 0 to 1 feedbacks, and all of his bidders have a single feedback... From him!!!

Oy!

I'd say it is obvious he has given them to himself, either by using several accounts or by asking his friends to bid... He has sold a camera for 1 USD to a person and recieved feedback...

I will steer clear for that group, the man could be good but I cannot risk the money.

Yeah... It's tempting, but will he be another... What was his name? The fellow from Latvia/Estonia, or whereever else he told people he was from about a year ago...

Fellows,

I would advise you to stay away from this one. Most likely the seller is using pics of a real group (perhaps borrowed from someone??), but the trick is - how are you going to get you items after you send him cash???

There were couple of other suspicious listings from a seller in Kazakhstan (not sure if the same one mentioned above) last week.

Strange thing was that all his auctions were just for 1 day, and quite expensive awards were sold for 1/3 of their real value.

Example:

Order Lenin closed at $180.

Think about it - the gold content is worth more than that, Lenin could be sold as scrap metal in Kazakhstan for at least $300. So why would anyone in right mind give away a Lenin for less that $200?

Makes you think...

BS Alarm

Gentlemen,

I have been tracking this guy's auctions for a week or two. This week he sold a Lenin for like $127 or so. A Nevsky for the same price, etc.

I realize that those "miracles" do happen sometimes when an experienced buyer can take advantage of an unknowing seller (casualties of eBay - what are you going to do...).

What set off my "bull$hit alarm" was:
1) Seller in Kazakhstan
2) New "face"
3) Very expensive items for minimal prices (even in Kazakhstan they do know how much this stuff is worth. Just read up on what Chuck or Shiva are saying about the supply and the prices that are coming on par with those in Moscow and Kiev.)
4) No PayPal (the seller wants MoneyGram - read: BULL$HIT)
5) Questionable feedback

The combination of all of these items just told me that the probability is pretty low for all of these "miracles" to happen all at once from the same seller.

I am sure you guys will agree with me.

Eric

You are scaring me with your stories... I recently bought the 3 orders of mother glory and the 2 medals for motherhood (just the 5 items, not from a group) on E! and the seller was in Latvia. But I looked at his profile and he was a power seller with over 1800 points (over 4000 positive feedbacks) and only few negative feedbacks dating more than 6 months.

I sent the money order and I am currently waiting to receive the items... but I am a bit worrying now since I saw that on Ebay he is "not a registered user" anymore. Few days after I paid hime, his account was disabled!?! What happened? I don't know, but it doesn't smell good.

Now, I checked with auctionpayment (western union auction payment) the status of my money order and they say that money order was sent to seller but not cashed yet... I emailed the seller to enquire about this.. he told me that he shipped medals more than 1 week ago and has got my money order but didn't cash it yet... he "doesn't go to bank each time he has a check, but wait to have bigger amount" strange.. in my case, when I get a check, I don't keep it at home too long!!!

I am already gathering all information to file a claim to my credit card company just in case. I hope I was not caught by a frauder!

Dave or anyone, can you please PM me with the name of the seller in Latvia? I hope it's not mine!

The guy Dave is referring to is Vlad Savickis. We all discussed this piece of $#!^ openly on the forum. He took a lot of members for a lot of $$$.

Thanks Yolkin!
It's not my seller, but still good to know (and to add to my "blacklist").

I just wanted to updated on my case with my seller in Latvia.
Few minutes ago, I was on E! and I can now see that the account is "active" and that user got more feedback since last few days and still have items for sales... I don't understand anything!!

But I feel better now. I also saw that one good member of our forum also bought from him (in january) and left positive feedback... that's another good sign.

I guess, I am of a too much cautious nature. Now, I will just wait patiently to see if my items arrives.
