Re: Defense of Leningrad booklet
Ah, I understand; although the document is official, the booklet is not official.

Re: Defense of Leningrad booklet
Hi,
yes, the document is official, the booklet is not official. There is the defense of Leningrad and the defense of Moscow who have official booklet. Regards. Philippe |

Re: Defense of the Caucasus document
Here's my first DoC document.
I notice it's a bit less high than my Leningrad but the same width.

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of The Caucasus".
Here is the 3rd Variation of the Medal. This is in such nice condition it could have been made yesterday.
This was in such good condition I could not turn it down. The only Soviet Medal I have ever bought from "that" NJ dealer.

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of The Caucasus".
Here is an OSNAZ awarded document to Starshina Nikolaj Mihajlovich Revazashvili (Николай Михайлович Ревазашвили), chief bearing finder and radio operator (who was also awarded a "For Bravery" and "For Combat Merits") for the 92/513 Radio Divisions by Major-General Mironov Commander of the 1st Separate Radio Brigade of "OSNAZ" on 7th July 1945.
The OSNAZ (detachments of special purpose) won't usually have had time to settle down and install telephone lines....

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of The Caucasus".
Here is Ц№001607 awarded 24th August 1945 to Comrade Boris Semenovich Gagoladze by Temporary Commander Of 5th Regiment VNOS (Воздушного Наблюдения, Оповещения и Связи/Aerial Surveillance, Warning and Communications) Major Grishin.
The only thing I can find on the 5th Regiment VNOS is that in 1940 its strength was 872.
