Re: Red Star
I did not see this thread before I opened another thread on eBay Jocks.
The big deal is that the price of the star is more than $600.00. The seller placed the star up side down, and claims the number 8599913 :D |

I agree with you regarding the number. As to the star itself, it is quite genuine; it is an MZPP produced ORS. Marc |

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Taken in a local flea market (we do not have flea markets anymore, in Italy. They all sell only valuable antiques) i was attracted by this Red Star. The price was reasonable, so I couldn't resist.

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
I compared this newly puchased red star with another one (s/n 2,766k) already presented to the forum and judged ok.
The weight is the same (30g) and apparently also the size and other details are comparable. Just the thickness looks different, being the s/n 900k slightly thinner then the other, the serial 2.7M. At least this the impression I had. I post some pictures where the serial 900k is on the left. cheers |

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
That is quite heavily worn. Not that that detracts at all.
Glad to see it's good.

It is worn out, sure. I would like to think it is sign of intensive wearing on the battlefield rather than bad storage on the shelves of the seller, but I just don't know.
However I could not resist from buying a wartime decoration (it should be about Nov.44(?)) and the price was honest. I am very happy. Today I have got a bad surprise with this latest Order of the Red Star I have purchased. Next time I definitely must wear my glasses and I shall dare to touch the medals like a maniac.... I should have noticed the repainted enamel in the upper point of the star. It's a really poor attempt to repair. It is numbered 1,434,259. As usual, I would appreciate your comments. ciao. |

Re: Red Star #1790165
That's what it says "v raione kvartala" or literally, near "kvartal". Kvartal means a city block or quarter, so I would say that it's a mistake. Should probably be "kvadrat" or square.
