Re: Fake Capture of Belgrade Document

I don't see any problem with this document, other than a weird color, but I'd need to see it in person to be 100% sure.

Re: Fake Capture of Belgrade Document

Guys,

The printing was made in a 2-step process, first printing the gray and black shades, then overprinting the red text. Misalignment can (and did) happen.

If you look at the line of text above the medal image, you'll find exactly the same amount of shifting as for the date. Same thing for the text on the right page.

I tend to think that it is OK.

Fake "Liberation Of" campaign medal documents

Gentlemen (and ladies),
Can you see any reason to doubt this Prague document? Nothing I see raises any doubts; nice purple ink, clear State seal, stamp, squiggles....:D

Re: Fake "Liberation Of" campaign medal documents

PS. I'm starting two of the three thread titles here that mirror those of the campaign medals threads in the fake Medals - The Soviet Military Awards Page Forum. Maybe we can reorganize this section along those lines. Make things easier/more organized?

Re: Fake "Liberation Of" campaign medal documents

Ladies and gentlemen, I just received this LoW as part of a group (CoB, LoW, VoG & UKM) and would like a comment or two if you've the time.
Myself, I see nothing to set off any warning buzzers but it's always prudent to check with one's peers; that's what my gramma always said. :)
