Re: Fake Orders of Labor Glory
I like the piece. But the upper rivet looks strange.
I have seen the walls before. Here is an example. best regards Andreas |

thank you for commenting! I'm under the impression that the original hammer-sickle was re-attached, so that using shortened rivets required re-drilling the holes, thus this strange shape. Best Regards, Igor |

Is the blue enamel in the midlle of the award made out of glass or plastic? Did you test it under black light? Did it glow? I have seen a lot of pieces with very small "air bubles" and very small black spots" in the blue enamel. best regards Andreas |

Hi,
saw this set a while ago on e*#y, please let me know what you think. Looks fine to me, but i was wondering why the first class looked overall ... "different" then the rest, even though its from the same set. different overall condition and patina on the back, also I'm a little nervous about the "0" of the serial number. Please let me know. And here some more pictures. Again, the condition of the II.nd and IIrd class seems identical and the Ist class just oddly sticks out somehow. What do you think? Just received these scans from a fellow collector. This piece is a fake. The small section to the left of the tower is hot enameled. :nono Oh, and the serial number is way off.

I`ve seen the same one this weekend; the price should have been 900,- $ US :laff
The hot enamel looks quite nice; but it doesn`t make it a genuine piece of course  But as a space filler... why not !? And another one... with ugly smeared artificial patina ! Last edited by CtahhR; 04-20-2014 at 08:36 PM. |

This OLGII is currently on the big auction site.
I've been chasing one for awhile now for my collection. I believe this is a fake, am I on the right track? Blue enamel present that shouldn't (see pic with red circle) Serial number out of range for OLGII. It comes from a seller who usually sells some solid stuff.
