Re: Two Sizes of The Medal for Distinguished Service in Protecting the State Border??

All original medals have the same sizes and different weight (according material of issue) I think to compare with original is best way to make true decission.

Shotgun01,

Strange-looking ring, weird appearance of surfaces, I have big doubts about this one. Large, clear, sharp scans of the front and back of the medallion are needed.

Marc
your probably right about this one being bad.

i personally only thought there would be only be a slim chance on this one being good. i'll give this one a miss.

thanks for the help.

Re: Fake Guarding the State Border Medals

Hey guys,
look at this one currently offered.
Is the slight difference of thickness of the suspension ring normal for this type of medal? and the important question: Is it original?

Thank you

Re: Fake Guarding the State Border Medals

I don't think the "textures" are anything but good on this one. The lettering on the reverse is all in order and well done, so IMHO I'd say :thumbsup

That opinion is also based on the asking price because if it is too high then a flag should go up.

Phillip,

Care to elaborate a bit on that, please.
