Can´t believe it!

The stuff I´ve bought or received as gifts (a big thanks to them, they know) from american dealers and collectors -always shipped by USPS- doesn´t take more than 2 or 3 weeks...

Re: Shipping troubles

It was just for the sake of discussion...

Re: Shipping troubles

Postal services can be very hit and miss... I have had a package from Uruguay to England in under a week and a package from Israel in under 36 hours but then I have had packages from the us taking anything from 3 days to 8 months (shipped the same way). No matter what you do there will always be unknowns and like they say patience is a virtue..... As everything I ever receive is only ever for my own personal collection I don't have to panic if something has arrived by a certain date... I usually start to wonder where my package is if it hasn't landed after 5-6 weeks..... but nearly every time that it's taken that long is because the sender hasn't lived up to their name and hasn't sent it.... like they say patience is a virtue.... and every day is like christmas day for me as long as there's mail being delivered!

Re: Shipping troubles

Guys, you do know we've been through most of this stuff before, right?

http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/s...easy-lost.html

and http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/s...ust-least.html

I think Eric's original concern is now lost somewhere (sort of like the packages some people are talking about).

Perhaps the poll would be a good thing to revive.

Re: Shipping troubles

Eric,

Keep bothering the Post Office...I ship many packages overseas and USPS has only lost track of two...with a bit of pestering both eventually turned up (back to me) a few months later...

Re: Shipping troubles

Pestered the PO like Doug suggested. Found out that the package got to Argentina in less than a week and has been sitting in customs since then. Contacted the buyer who contacted his customs and he's now got the info to get his package.
His comment to me was 'our customs officials are like a ****ing mafia'.

Makes you want to smack Andrew Lloyd Webber until he cries, eh? (Hint: musical reference joke.)
