Re: My Soviet Patch Collection 1947-92

Alex, Doug, & Marc,

Boy! Did I throw the cat amongst the pigeons?....or What?

Thanks for your comments guys and I will answer each one of you over the next few days but right now I just don't have the time. Sorry.

I will just say to Marc that my comments were, in no way, meant to denigrate either the Soviet Union or the Russian Federation. I have close family in the RF. If I offended you, I sincerely apologise.

Best regards guys,

Jim

Jim, as for me it's all ok. I see nothing offensive or denigratable in your comments.
I'll wait your answers, questions and opinions.
Best regards.
Alex.

There is also a grey variant of the CD brown CD patch. Furthermore, there is an accompanying "star stripe" that goes with the brown CD patch. I have seen this same patch, but with two instead of one stars, but that was ten years ago. Needless to say I'd like to get the two-star stripe patch, but well...I'm still waiting.

You definitely have quite a collection and I enjoy the variations. Just pointing out that even the postwar patches and stars have a heritage tracing back to the earlier days. Keep collecting!

Many thanks, and well-aware. Cost and well, cost! are the reasons I've stuck with the modern patches. Ironically, I've reached a point where I can't find the ones I still need to finish up certain areas of the collection. As such, I'm wondering if I should start collecting DDR patches in the meantime!
