Infantry High School (officer academy) Pass, 1949
Here's a military pass from the "dark times": late 40's/early 50's
This pass says that the owner of it, mjr. Aleksander Nakoniecznik is allowed to enter the area and the training grounds. The rectagonal stamp also says that he is allowed to enter the building nr.14 (Hotel). A unit number is given on the round stamp, which makes it hard to identify the unit, however, on the later page a name "Wyższa Szkoła Piechoty" (Infantry High School, an officer school in Rembertów, near Warsaw that existed until early 1956 when it was renamed and reorganized), so we can assume it's the unit. I have no closer info on the man, Warsaw Uprising museum lists lt. Aleksander Nakoniecznik as a participant. the birthdate (1910) would fit the looks and the rank of major in 1949 indicates that he had to be an officer already when the war ended, but I lack the data to determine if this is the man. |

As a supplement, here's his city communication ID (most likely allowing him to us the city transport for free) from Warsaw from the same era. It's probably in the same plastic envelope that it used to be in when he carried it with him.

Re: Infantry High School (officer academy) Pass, 1949
Identified!
Thanks to the the newly aquired book (bought for an equivalent of ~2USD), 1984 published "Wyższa Szkoła Piechoty w Rembertowie 1948-1954" by Czesław Grzelak I have managed to find out what his function in the school was. He was "Professor of tactics and HQ service". Interestingly, at that very same time the same post in the school was held by mjr. Wojciech Jaruzelski - the current retired general. In the book, there's also a note about officers that got general Popławski's praise after a control in the school. Among them, there's mjr. Aleksander Nakonieczny listed, but since no such person is listed, this will most likely be Nakoniecznik. Also, the list of employees states, that Nakoniecznik's father's name was Józef - the same as the Warsaw Uprising participant's. With such a rare surname, it's quite safe to assume it's the same person. If so, he was born on 19.04.1910 and died on 23.01.1987 in Warsaw, participated in the september campaign, and during the conspiracy he was aide-de-camps of the commander of the 6th region (Praga district of Warsaw) of the AK and was awarded Cross of the Brave and Polonia Restituta Officer's Cross. |

3 of his pre-war documents are now offered by the same seller and I hope to get them. One of them gives his birth year as 1910 - same as the uprising participant's - seems too much to be a coincidence.

2.Student's ID of the 3rd (university) grade musical school. Gives home address as Modlin, 32 Infantry Regiment.
If this is the man, the career is quite interesting - a metal industry worker at the age of 19, a music school student and serviceman in 1936/37, a partisan officer in 1944, officer academy professor in late 40's early 50's... |
