Here is a pic of "Komkop" ( ? ) J.V. Smushkevich, in 1939, wearing among other Soviet Awards also a Mongolian Order of Military Valor, not sure if of Type 1 or Type 2.
Probably one of those Russians who fought side by side with the Mongolians on the Battle of Khalkhin Gol, even thought he doesn't have the August 1939 Badge. Btw, anyone knows who is this guy, what branch of the Army he was (Aviation?) and finally what "Komkp" means? For a better view of the uniform and awards. I've been offered the same set, and I think the price is reasonable, if you have that kind of money.
Now, from what I hear, these are unissued orders that are being sold by the State Reserve. So many more might come unto the market, and prices might drop a bit more. Anyway, they are still much to expensive for my wallet Best regards Jan |
