Just to be clear, there's no reason to be concerned about the funny patina pattern on the reverse of the RR badge in post #1? It's just a weird happenstance?

Definitely nothing to lose sleep over.

I "clean" nearly all my acquisitions as they come in, some of them have had a hard dirty life. Some items turn from tired and neglected to minty fresh sparkling like it's just come off the production line. Sometimes some very stinky ribbons have been perfumed too, not Chanel #5 though...
