KGB Pension Identifications.

This appears to be a KGB pension ID for a Lieutenant from the early 1960's.

Any comments?

Looks like it might be good. Dunno how rare these are......

Re: KGB Pension ID

Here's another, later example. 1980's. Green cover.

This doc is part of a larger group I hope to post in the near future.

Re: KGB Pension ID

I certainly wouldn't call them "rare". Think of the number of NKVD, NKGB, KGB staff that will have been pensioned off during the Soviet Union.

Another case of people twitching when the name KGB comes up - they must have done a good job!

Re: KGB Pension ID

Wow, 129.20 Rubles a month in 1961-2 wasn't a bad deal, but inflation hadn't gotten out of hand (I'm hoping) when the border guard officer retired with 153 per month in 1989. That wouldn't have bought a half-loaf of "black bread" three years later.

Re: KGB Pension ID

Here is one from a (badly broken) group I may get around to posting some day.

Pension book from the KGB, as a Captain with 25 years service, to receive 100 rubles a month pension effective 1 June 1960.
