Can you do a close up shot on the state seal? it seems very small for Marshal of the USSR boards, but it might just be the photo...interesting and well worn set!

grenouillet,

A nice set although I've seen higher-quality embroidery on the Soviet seal on other M1943 MSU examples.

Good photos. I wonder if the condition is what makes the quality look less than what we might usually see on an M1943 Marshal USSR board.

shoulderboards were realy used, if you see in real they are very impressioning, they have been wered, and have patine.
The quality of broarding is remarcable.
If you can read Russian you will find in "tseyghouse"19 the article about shoulderbopards.
the thing is stange, I saw a lot of shoulderbords of M43 without use, patine; I never thougt that marshalls kept them in the safe!:laff
Doug, I couldn't beleive that the specialist like you contest this pair.

boards

I am not sure where I 'contested' the boards????

As I even stated after the detailed pics that the questions of quality were really questions of condition; I think you misread my post(s).

Michel,

Please review the information found in the following link to an older forum thread that addressed just this topic:
