It seems to be mounted upside-down.

isn't this pic coming from a US dealer, saddly readable on historicalresearch.com links page? from so-called admiral Serguei Gorshkov black parade tunic? if so, avoid it!!!!!

4 lenins, 3 souvorov 1st class...where are the hero stars? I hardly see a possible hole for a hero star on the scan, but...a glavnii marchal...Pokrichkin, Kojedub?

take a look on mondvor.narod.ru, there's a link towards an historical page about marshals and glavnii marshals if I'm not wrong...

The closest match is Golovanov, but he was in reserve since 1953...

Hi thanks. There are a hole for hero star,. I been told it belonged to Vershinin. Could it match his awards in the 50´s?

the uniform doesn´t come from that dealer but from privatecollection. It can´t be proven that it belonged to that admiral but it´s tailor made and the year on the buttons correspond to his service time. I will get a nice price. I personaly don´t think it´s an ukrainan copy. I just can´t say if it´s real. Are there uniforms from Gorshkov out on the market that are genuine?

Sorry, the pic was relatively close to my reference.
I won't make much statements about such rare and high end item, simply becuse I don't have any experience.
But the high number of lenin, the ouchakov and nakhimov 1st class put this admiral in the high ranks, 3stars?. Could you tell us the grade, the years on buttons?
the quality talks for itself with such uniforms: the sewing must be perfect for grades, shoulder boards, ribbon bars...maybe light wear traces on the inside lining, cuffs...
the probability to find genuine Gorshkov, or admiral of the SU is near to zero, that's my opinion. USSR had only 3 admirals of the SU. And personnal effects must me be in families or museums...i know only one guy able to find such items, he's moderator in this forum for uniforms...
