Badge "Champion Of The Socialist Competition".

Greetings everyone!
I recently acquired this Russian Federation Otlichnik for a Socialist Competition badge.

Any idea on the time frame it was used?

Just a short clarification about the RSFSR for anyone who might not be aware.

The Russian Federation or RSFSR, was the name of the independent state from 1917 to the formation of the USSR in 1923. However, from 1923 to 1991 the Russian Federation continued to exist as one of the constituent republics of the USSR.

Becuase an RSFSR Red Banner dates from the pre-USSR period (i.e. pre-1923). Some people assume that any badge which has SFSR on it must be from this 1917-1923 period which is not the case.

The badge shown in this thread above is likely from the 1970s or 1980s but still has RSFSR on it. It would be called a state badge in USA or a provincial badge in Canada.
