Bulgarian Military Mission To The DPRK.

As the DPRK is the focus of the world's attention today here is a set of four photographs of the Bulgarian mission to the DPRK. I'm not sure of the date but it looks like it is from the late 1950's or early 60's.

The first picture is of the "guide" sharing a toast with the Bulgarian visitors.

The second picture is of what seems to be an exchange of gifts between a Bulgarian Colonel and Korean Lieutenant Colonel. Notice the Korean Lt-Col is wearing a "For Communism" badge above his Medal bar.

The third picture depicts a light meal with some light note taking. Notice the young female "Hero Of Labour", probably awarded to her for dedicated party work and possibly for efforts during the combative period of the war.

Re: Bulgarian Military Mission To The DPRK.

Finally here is a rather young Kim Il-Sung apparently enjoying some form of performance or address. Notice how the chairs although they are fairly low are still stepped so no-one sits as high or higher. The visiting Bulgarian Colonel looks quite out of place in such a low set seat.
