The screw plate is not original. The reataining plate looks wrong.
On the order itself, the top of the remaining pole looks wrong... Rusty.

Hello:
It is a screw back with a mirror reverse that is more shallow that normal. The odd thing is that where my other one has CCCP on the bottom this one has PCCP. Dose anyone have any information on this variation? Here are the pics. Any info would be appreciated |

RSFSR (Russian Federation) Order of Red Banner. Type 1, was awarded from September 30, 1918 until 1929 / 1930. The lowest number observed - 623, the highest number observed - 21216.

There are two other variations of RSFSR Red Banner except main one. They are extremley rare and it's almost impossible two find them nowadays.
Here are the pictures of them. Left variation (Variation 2) was observed in number range 13609 - 13947. Right variation (Variation 3) was produced in Transcaucasian region and only 130 of them vere made with serial numbers from 25000 to 25129. Unlike other two variations it is not solid and consists of two big barts combined together. Your order is regular and most common Variation 1. ALL THREE VARIATIONS HAVE TWO LEGS AT THE BOTTOM. Thanks a lot. Those are great shots. I will try to get a better picture of mine, maybe a scan. It's number is 11398. Those legs must have been supper fragile.

Red Banner of RSFSR - Transcaucasian Manufacture
This is an extremely rare example of the Transcaucasian manufacture of the Order of the Red Banner of the RSFSR.
Approximately 400 were manufactured by a jeweler in Tiflis in 1921. Marc |
