1970s air marshal
Saw this nice complete uniform for offer, the cap is dated 1970.
I never saw this type of qualification badge before, it seems to be sewn on a piece of cloth. What do you think? The whole thing looks quite convincing to me. |

Re: 1970s air marshal
I have doubts on the setup. The ribbon bar is small and I would believe all air marshals of the 1970s (all ever?) were war veterans. The ribbon bar is impressive but I can't connect it to any air marshal. The qualification wing is for technical personnel - were there any marshals with roots in this profession? I tend to think, this is a general attire that has been spiced up.
How are the different details (ribbon bar, shoulder boards and qualification wing) attached? |

Re: 1970s air marshal
I think you're right after taking a deep look on the (bad) pictures.
The boards look a little loose at the shoulder ends. I cant see if the ribbon bar is sewn on or attached with a pin on the back. Maybe I stay away, but if the price is real cheap I get a generals tunic and some free shoulderboards with it. :) |

Re: 1970s air marshal
I think we need a good and sharp picture of the jacket.
