Medal For Loyal Service In The Armed Organs Of The Ministry Of Interior.

Here is one of my favorite DDR medals. It is a service medal for the Volkspolizei. However, this is one of the earlier types that do not show the DDR coat of arms on the front of the medal. I've been searching for quite some time for one of these, and am very happy to have found one.
