Nice to see a "digger" get an award (although not the usual type of digger we think of in the Commonwealth).
I knew a chap like this once. In the morning someone would point at a spot and tell him "dig that way" and then at the end of the day someone would have to go and tell him to stop digging. Hopefully the ground was nice and soft alluvial soil and not shale. Digging a hole of 30 cubic metres of shale every day would certainly deserve a higher award.

I'm pleased with the research, something quite unusual. The Stakhanovite reference is cool too. I'll post pictures when I can find the energy to get out of my chair! |
