Here are some pics of rare order from Tuva Republic (small republic in Asian part of the USSR, close to Mongolia).

Some background on Tuva Republic order:

This is Type 2, emission of 1941.

Name: "Order of TAR Republic" (Tuva Autonomous Republic).

Established: 1932, final statute - 1936.

Order was manufactured on Leningrad Mint.

Only 250 orders were made.

Second version was manufactured in summer of 1941, mintage of about 200 pieces.

Most of the Type 1 orders were exchanged to Type 2. Only 27 recipients did not exchange their orders, plus 4 were kept in the Tuva museum.

Only few pieces of Type 1 Tuva order survived, compared with 30+ specimens of Type 2.

A good mix between the SU Lenin Order , and both the Order of the Red Banner of Military Valor and the Order of labour Glory of Mongolia.

In Dietrich Herfurth's book/catalogue (1999) it is valued 3070 €.

Information from Kushenko's book "Orders of the Soviet Republics", Page 371, #61 was awarded March 15, 1943 to General-Lieutenant of RKKA, N.P. Pukov
