Comrade G.K. Derkunov participated in the Great Patriotic War from March 18, 1943 to March 18, 1945. Taking active part in the struggle with the German-fascist invaders Comrade G.K. Derkunov received two light and one severe wound. As a result of his wound his left leg was amputated. As an active participant of the Great Patriotic War comrade G.K. Derkunov deserves the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
