In this book there is full of information about Russian and German awards of WWII.

Provides information on the history each award, founders of the award, who were first awards awarded to, how many of the awards are there, every award has full description and a colour picture.

Format about 9.0 x 6.00 inch, many colour photos.

Hardcover, over 140 pages.

Author - D. Taras.

Published by ACT in 2002.

I am surprised by the author's decision to combine under one cover Stalin's SU and Hitler's Germany, other than that - this is good reference book.

Strange combination indeed. The question is - is the book worth the money? Is new information included?

I saw the book in Moscow. Price - 8$.

To my mind this book is for junior collectors of GERMAN awards, not for Russian.

You can find nice pictures of awards, a few words about each of awards.

As for Soviet awards - scanty information . Statute, well known facts - thats all.

Resume - useless book. Not for advanced collectors :D

I am too not impressed by the Soviet section and I like German section of the book better.

I just buy all reference books on the subject of Soviet awards collecting and had to buy this one as well. It's definitely worth small $$$ I paid for it.

Having seen this book in a book shop in Minsk, I flicked through it, but decided to keep my money. Can't say I'd recommend it.
