Here's a new variation of this medal (on the left). It has a shinier finish and has no mint mark on the loop.

I just gotta ask something about this medal. I know they released one every new decade but this one from 95 still has the hammer and sickle although the soviet union was no more. Is this an official medal or something released by KPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation)?
