Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:

Wagon driver Guards Private Yampol showed courage and bravery in combat with the German occupants. During the fighting near the city of Kalish, he urgently needed to bring ammunition to the firing position.

Comrade Yampol was bringing mines to the battery, but enemy shells, exploding close by, killed two horses. Comrade Yampol then started to carry the ammunition in his hands.

Around him the shells exploded and bullets whizzed by, but to this he didn’t pay attention. He knew that the mines had to be delivered to the battery at any cost, and this he did.

Comrade Yampol is dedicated to the cause of the Party of Lenin and Stalin. He deserves the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.

Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:

During the fighting for the village of Friedrichsdorff on April 26, 1945, comrade Yampol was sent to the firing position with ammunition. On the road his wagon was met by machine gun fire and one horse was wounded, but the ammunition absolutely had to be delivered. Then comrade Yampol hid his wagon and started carrying the boxes of ammunition in his hands. The ammunition was delivered.

During a counterattack a group of soldiers managed to reach the other end of the street. Comrade Yampol used his rifle to kill three soldiers, while the others hastily disappeared.

For displayed bravery and courage he deserves the Order of the Red Star.
