Sleemanguy,

I thought I'd mention that type 5, var. 1 is not being faked, not yet anyway.

Alexei

Nota, Thanks, I wondered that with all the research I've done on this site and the fact that it 'only' has a R2 rating.

Slee,

Alexei is right, this type is not being faked. A lot of these Lenins are sold in Russia for the price of gold/platinum metal content.

Bets,

William

This is the one I have. Rusty mentioned something about separation. What exactly would that mean?

The R2 is only the relevant to the price that you payed.

Slee,

What I meant by separation was this:

I've seen a fake Lenin Screwback with proper rivets on the back but the Lenin himself was not a separate piece, it was part of the order which was plated to look like platinum! ...and the rivets on the back were fake!

So, if you look at the order from the side, you should see a small gap between Lenin and the main gold piece.

Hope I cleared it up...

RedStar: What did you mean by saying "Now I can be sure that you dont sell anything on Ebay" ???

Rusty.

RedStar: S/N is 379.

It's weird... $2,000 SLR Digital camera and I still can't figure out how to take a "Picture Perfect" shot... Go figure!

I guess it's true what they say: If you can't get it right the first time, try and try again...

The BK2 looks even better in person! One day I'll get the pic that truly shows its beauty!

Thank you for the compliment,

Rusty.
