October Revolution - Badge of Honour group
Two orders - one book.
I think the handwriting looks sloppy, at least on the second entry. Plus, the serial on the BoH looks like it was done yesterday as there is no dirt or oxidation(?) in the digits. |

Tretov,
I am uncertain about the document, but I think it may be OK. I believe the s/n on the BoH is bad. Alexei |

As expected:
The badge of Honour has been doctored with. It is obvious that the serial number has been erased and replaced with another number. It also seems that some kind of graphical change has been done to the image in the auction - the actual award has a bright yellow area around the serial :( I think that the book is OK, because if the entries had been added by someone, why then put a lot of work in erasing serials? Anyway. I mailed the seller, but he has not replied! I don't want to send it back without first recieving any kind of response... :( |

The matter was finally solved with satisfaction. I got a partial refund, and both I and the seller was satisfied with the solution.
