Awards of Talgat Musabaev

Talgat Musabaev, the first cosmonaut from Kazakhstan who worked in the open space, and performed 3 space flights by Soyuz TM spaceship, is :

* Hero of the Russian Federation (1994)
* Space Pilot of the Russian Federation (1994)
* People's Hero of Kazakhstan (1995)
* Space Pilot of Kazakhstan (1995)
* Major General of Aviation.

He has also been awarded :
* Order of Friendship of Peoples (USSR, 1991)
* Order "For Services to Motherland", 3rd Degree (Russia)
* Order "Otan" (Kazakhstan, 1998)
* Order of the Austrian Republic
* Medal "Astana" (Kazakhstan, 1999)
* NASA Medal " For Space Flight" (1998)
* ...
On this pic are visible these awards.

But, there are 2 stars / plaques of orders I have not identified; one being probably linked to the big blue and yellow sash.

Any idea ? From which countries are they ?

Thanks in advance.

Ch.

Here is the Order.

"The Order of Peter the Great was established by the Academy of Security, Defense, Law and Order. It is the highest civic reward in the Russian Federation, which is granted on the basis of unselfish deeds, valor, courage and heroism that is displayed while fulfilling a military, official or civic duty.

This medal constitutes an eight-pointed golden star, which is then circled with a laurel wreath and semi-precious stones. On the back side is inscribed "For strengthening Russia" and "The Academy of Security of Law and Order".

Previous figures to have been awarded this Order include the Orthodox Patriarch of Moscow and Russia, Alexiy II, UN General Secretary Kofi Annan, Russia's first President Boris Yeltsin, Nobel Prize winner Zhores Alfyorov and the first woman astronaut Valentina Tereshkova.

The Academy of Security, Defense, Law and Order is a scientific center that unites the initiatives of all state institutions working in this area. The Academy’s activities have been supported by the Russian Federation's Security Council, as well as the President’s envoys to Russia’s federal districts. "

It is not exactly an "official" governmental award, hence the fact it is not mentioned in "official references.

Kim,

Great and excellent. You got it!!!! Bravo!!

Many thanks.

These Kazakhstani orders are very innovative, original and various in their shape. I wonder who design them. Local artists probably...
