CSSR Branch insignia

Hello,

I've just acquired a number of collar branch insignia (infantry, transportation, medical etc. - i haven't posted any pictures yet because i'm still sorting and due to the nature of my question they may not be necessary). I've noticed that each insignia comes in 3 colors bronze, silver, and gold. My first instinct is that bronze would be for enlisted ranks, silver for NCO's and gold for officers. Can anyone verify this?

From what I know there were gold for officers, silvr for EM and NCO. No bronze other than subdued used on field uniforms, but those were painted unless I am mistaken. Maybe those bronze are just de-colorized gold ones?
