Navy dagger belt help, please.

Can you help with the date on this please?
No markings that I can see.
I'm not 100% certain the hangers and the belt were made at the same time; the belt looks/feels older.

Also, please PM me with just a general idea of worth (and offers if you want it) as it's going on the estand shortly.

Do you mean that after 1955 the lion on the hanger buckles was replaced by a fouled anchor?

yeap, it was. You see this one was made to wear in the trousers as a belt, under the suit. Everyday belt, for parade it was yellow colour

More like ugly lions. :)
But thanks for the image, I'd not seen one of them before. I'm suprprised the star wasn't on there somewhere's from the get-go; it was on virtually everything else.

All nations navies, for some reason, tended to be less amenable to changing their uniform with changes in styles and politics. Even Soviet Naval admirals didn't get the state seal on their buttons until 1945, having a simple anchor until then.
