Medal "For Bravery" Order of the Commander 491st Mortar Kiev Order Aleksandr Nevskij Regiment #01/N of 5th January 1945.In battle with German occupiers has shown bravery and valour. 15th January 1945 in the time of breaking heavily fortified enemy defences in the region of Pustki under enemy artillery-mortar fire quickly and accurately aimed the mortar against targets as a result fire from the battery destroyed 3 machinegun positions, an 81.4mm mortar and up to 15 German soldiers and officers.

23rd January 1945 in the region of Jurchitse the enemy were covering the retreat of their forces opening heavy artillery-mortar fire. Private Gljan'ko advanced his mortar to an exposed firing position, risking his life opened fire on an enemy column with the result that fire from his mortar destroyed 10 carts with ammunition and the enemy in panic fled leaving on the highway 3 75mm guns.

For showing bravery and valour in combat with German invaders is worthy of the Governmental award Order "Red Star"

These settlements may be in the Region of Lesser Poland - there are Jurczyce and Pustki, only 20km apart, east of Wadowice.
However, both names are quite common, so itmay be a different location.
