Did you try to remove it ?
It looks like a date (05.05.04), a price (10 ?) and a code... Probably nothing of historic value. When did you get this medal ? Ch. |

So, it's consistent with the date. My guess would have been wrong if you had this medal since an earlier date than May 2004.

Combat
I got this type 2 variation 3 medal today. It has an interesting plastic cover to protect the ribbon. There are only one tiny crack in the cover.
I think this will be the first medal in over 6 months! Can't believe I made it that long. :yow /Erik |

nice addition! why is there a plastic cover on the ribbon? as that a display mount for parades?
