Combat Service

Hi guys,

I posted this one yesterday for authentication (It got the thumbs up :thumbsup), I believe it to be a Type 2 Variation 1, but I'm not really sure, also can anyone help me with dating the award, believed to be WW2 (but I'm really a Brit' collector not russian, just have the odd one or ten in my collection :D) but not 100% sure.

No. 896399

ATB, TIA,
Tom

Spring 1944...

Based on "Echoes of War", it would probably be Spring of 1944 (March or April likely). Which front? Who knows. That's tough without the research.

The first medal I've bought in about 6 months.
Nothing special; a T2 V4(Mondvor), but it fills a hole in my collection.

Well, OK then.

Remember when this sadly abused parade mount was for sale last month on the site? It came empty in the second slot and the Prague medal had gone on walkabout
All better now!:D

Nice job Jeff! I think I bid, or was gonna bid on that with the idea of doing the same thing.
If that Stalingrad ribbon is a new one maybe you might consider making it dirtier to match the other 4 ribbons?
Either way it's a nice bar and will display nicely. :thumbsup :thumbsup

stalingrad ribbon was a dilemma

I have some appropriately aged ones...on brass mount suspensions with their own medals. Doesn't feel good to pirate those. Maybe I will fondle the ribbon while watching tv after eating pizza or something so it will blend in.
You should have seen the first prague I put on....way too shiny.
