Interesting photo, Pilot Major Fine

Not sure whether this belonged in orders or uniform so I stuck it here. This photo is currently on auction on the big bay but what struck me was the wear of the orders on the right chest. I've never seen them all (even the guards badge and wings!) angled like this. Other interesting points is that he appears to be wearing a damaged ORS for parade and official photo purposes and doesn't care that he got a bit sloppy adding a couple of medals behind the parade mount.
Oh, and he looks like Curly. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

probably in keeping with the angle of the order on the left side of the chest.

Jeffrey,

I've seen that before (angle, damage, late additions, etc). Not the most common, but it happens. Regulations did not explicit anything about these aspects,a s far as I know.

photo - worth anything?

Can't call it original - altough it was definately made from original negative in 50's(?), but in Poland - at least stamps on the back as well as the remains of the caption that was once glued there indicate this.
Has a damage in the upper corner (seen on this poor picture).
Size:10,7x16,7cm (4.2x6.6inches)
Is it worth anything?

I'm sure it is to somebody. If I found it at the fleamarket for 2 bucks I'd jump on it. It would look nice on my wall of fame.
Is the potrait focused enough to pick out his awards, or blurry like in your image?

The photo is of much better quality. I mean - You can't read the text on ORB's and some details ar unclear (upper Suvorov and right shoulderboard are blurred. also the award below the second Victory is unidentifiable because it reflects the light.
My camera doesn't like photographing anything. I will try to scan it.

the scan

I had to devide it in two (NO, I didn't cut the actual photograph), because it lost some details when resized.

Take it to your local "foto-joker" (non-Poles, to your "local Kodak photo reprocessing center") and see what they charge to make copies. Maybe forum members would like to purchase for the price of the copy and postage.

That would be a good idea, but I don't know if anyone here would be interested in a copy.

This idea sounds a bit like in an old joke about copying portraits of Lenin, Stalin and Brezhniev
