A big shout out to fellow forum member Ralph Pickard for his cover-featured article in the NOV-DEC 14 Journal of the Orders and Medal Society of America (JOMSA) and initial jump into Soviet medal collecting, away from his typical DDR Stasi topic. Pages 5-18 go into an interesting narrative, sourcing, and excruciating detail as only Ralphie can do . Great photos of Soviet and Afghan awards and their documents awarded to a KGB officer. desantnik - WOW!!! what a surprise thread. Thanks for your comments and thread, much appreciated.

Now that this article is on the streets, I have been thinking/contemplating about writing another article. However, this article is going to be different from my others and working through some research along with finding a potential publisher who might be interested in it.
